U of T Mississauga Computer Science supplementary answer
U of T Mississauga requires a supplementary application for Computer Science admission. Its published question asks applicants to list achievements or experiences missing from their transcript that help explain their interest and potential in computing. This is the Mississauga campus route, not the St. George Computer Science supplement.
Writing format
One written response about computing interests and experiences beyond the transcript
What to prepare
- 1Select a few experiences that show your interest in computing beyond grades, such as a project, club, job, or independent study.
- 2For each example, identify your own contribution and what it reveals about your potential in computing.
- 3Keep the answer specific and concise; the school asks for relevant experiences, not a general autobiography.
How to approach the writing
- Draft offline so you can compare each example with your transcript and remove anything already obvious there.
- Use concrete outcomes or questions you pursued to explain why an experience matters without inventing a formal essay structure.
Before you submit
The supplement appears in Join U of T after the OUAC application. UTM lists February 1, 2027 as the deadline and considers only the most recent submission if you resubmit.
