SFU Music & Sound supplemental questionnaire
SFU's Music & Sound BFA uses a program questionnaire and a portfolio of creative work, with a possible later virtual interview. Its currently linked Fall 2026 form asked about musical background, creative growth, and artistic influences alongside three to five works. That form is prior-cycle evidence; SFU has not yet linked a Fall 2027 questionnaire.

What to prepare
- 1Describe how you make or explore music, including informal practice when it better represents your work than formal credentials.
- 2Explain how you want to change as a musician or sound artist, using a project to show what you know and what remains uncertain.
- 3Be ready to discuss musical and non-musical influences through particular creative choices if the new form retains that question.
How to approach the writing
- Select original works that show how you think creatively; check the live form for the number and media it accepts.
- Prepare one PDF with any requested answers and working links, following the current SCA upload rules rather than the 2026 file name.
Before you submit
The SCA page gives Fall 2027 supplement deadlines of February 7 for high-school, mature, and early transfer applicants, and April 22 for later transfers or second-degree applicants. The linked Music & Sound questionnaire still says Fall 2026; verify all questions, limits, and portfolio requirements in the current Student Centre task.
