Seneca Animation admission portfolio
Seneca's three-year Animation advanced diploma requires an art portfolio in addition to academic admission requirements. Its current program page specifies five pieces: a full-body life drawing, a drawing of your own hand, a solid household object, a two-point-perspective room, and one work of your choice that shows another interest or skill. This is a visual portfolio, not a general Seneca essay requirement.

What to prepare
- 1Use the required life, hand, and household-object pieces to show observation and proportion rather than substituting unrelated finished art.
- 2Build the room drawing around a legible two-point perspective so the space can be assessed directly.
- 3Choose the fifth piece to show a distinct interest or skill that the four required exercises do not reveal.
How to approach the writing
- Check each piece against Seneca's five-item list before arranging the portfolio; a broad gallery alone does not answer the specified exercises.
- The program lists January and September starts at Seneca@York. Check the live intake and any submission instructions sent through the admission process.

Seneca's public program page does not state a portfolio upload format or a 2027 deadline. Follow the instructions in your invitation or application account, and confirm that Animation is open for your intended term.
