USask Medicine 2027 personal statement
USask Medicine requires every MD applicant to upload a personal statement after submitting and paying for the main application. The actual question appears only as a supplemental item in the applicant account. The statement is part of MD selection and may be discussed later; it is not the separate optional Black Student Admissions Pathway essay.

Academic integrity
USask lists suspected AI use during the application as a possible ground for invalidating a file. Write the personal statement yourself and follow the current applicant conduct agreement.
What to prepare
- 1Wait for the exact question in the 2027 supplemental-items portal and place that question as the heading, as the official instructions require.
- 2Use only authentic personal experience relevant to the live question; the university may ask you to discuss the statement and identify someone who can verify it.
- 3Keep the response below 750 words and omit your name, student number, and other identifying details from the PDF.
How to approach the writing
- Submit and pay for the MD application first; the statement upload does not appear until that step is complete.
- Use 12-point Times New Roman, double spacing, and one-inch margins. Review the PDF carefully because the uploaded statement cannot be changed.
Before you submit
The 2027-entry MD application closes October 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Saskatchewan time, while the personal-statement PDF is due October 15 at the same time. Read the current official applicant document and portal question; do not reuse a question from an earlier admissions cycle.
