Regina BSW personal statement
Regina's BSW application follows Pre-Social Work coursework or equivalent preparation. Its review panel weighs a personal statement alongside paid and unpaid human-service experience, educational history and the applicant portfolio. The faculty assesses writing, critical thought, self-awareness, ethics and values; entry into Pre-Social Work alone is not BSW admission.

What to prepare
- 1Explain a specific human-service experience and what it taught you about relationships, community or social conditions.
- 2Reflect on the ethical choices and limits of your own role rather than claiming to have solved another person's problem.
- 3Connect that reflection to your reason for pursuing professional social-work study at Regina.
How to approach the writing
- Keep the statement near the faculty's approximate four-page length and check its current online instructions for any further prompt.
- Use the separate application section for five concrete human-service or community-engagement examples; reserve the statement for analysis and reflection.

Regina lists one BSW intake each year, with the application and transcript deadline on January 15. Confirm the current intake year, Pre-Social Work eligibility, statement instructions and portal requirements before applying; the earlier Pre-Social Work application does not require this BSW statement.
