uOttawa mature applicant letter of intent
uOttawa's mature admission route is for Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have not studied full time in a structured program in the three years before applying. The letter helps the university assess readiness alongside the rest of the file. Applicants who have already attended a college or university full time use another admission route.

What to prepare

- 3Give concrete examples from work, personal experience, or time since earlier full-time studies that show readiness for university study.
How to approach the writing
- Pair each claim about readiness with an example of a skill you used or developed.
- Use the résumé for chronology and the letter to explain motivation and fit; check your program's prerequisites separately.
