McMaster Integrated Science supplementary application
McMaster's small-cohort Honours Integrated Science program requires every Level I applicant to complete a separate supplement after the OUAC application. The department asks about motivation for interdisciplinary science, communication and creative thinking, but its program page still displays the closed Fall 2026 form. The central admissions list gives the Fall 2027 deadline without publishing the new questions.

Academic integrity
McMaster prohibits generative AI tools in the iSci supplementary application. Applicants must write and submit their own responses.
What to prepare
- 1Identify a science question that needs more than one discipline and explain what you have already done to explore it.
- 2Reflect on a real research, class or independent project that shows how you work through uncertainty.
- 3Use your own examples to explain your interest in iSci's cross-disciplinary approach rather than repeating a general science résumé.
How to approach the writing
- Apply to Integrated Science I through OUAC first, then activate the MacID sent after McMaster receives the application.
- Wait for the Fall 2027 form before drafting to exact questions; the department's visible application and noon cutoff belong to Fall 2026.
Before you submit
McMaster's central list says the Fall 2027 iSci supplement is due February 2, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. The department page still says February 2, 2026 at noon. Follow the new applicant portal and confirm its questions, time and equitable-admissions option before submission.
