Concordia Theatre letter of intent
Concordia Theatre asks applicants to explain why they want to study theatre and their chosen specialization. Acting, Performance Creation, and Scenography then use different video, performance, or portfolio requirements.
Writing format
One- to two-page letter, brief experience bullets, and a specialization-specific audition or portfolio
What to prepare
- 1Name the specialization you want and explain why its kind of theatre work fits your experience.
- 2Discuss a meaningful performance or theatre encounter and how it shaped your creative goals.
- 3Add the requested brief bullets on training, related arts, movement, languages, and other experiences.
How to approach the writing
- Let the letter give context to the material your chosen specialization will actually review.
- Check the acting video, three-minute Performance Creation piece, or Scenography portfolio rules separately before submitting.
