UAlberta Management Analytics statement of intent
The Alberta School of Business asks Master of Management Analytics applicants for a one-page statement of intent alongside a résumé, academic documents, and two references. Its full-time Fall 2027 and part-time Winter 2027 routes have separate application windows. This statement is not the FastTrack MBA's longer, experience-focused statement.

What to prepare
- 1Explain why management analytics is the next step from your STEM or business preparation, using a specific analytical problem or project as evidence.
- 2Connect the skills you want to gain to a plausible business or technical role after the degree.
- 3Keep the one-page statement focused on motivation and fit; let the résumé and academic documents carry the complete record.
How to approach the writing
- Choose the full-time or part-time intake before applying and keep the statement aligned with that study plan.
- Upload the statement into the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies application with the other supporting documents.
Before you submit
For full-time Fall 2027 entry, the published closing dates are March 1, 2027 for international applicants and May 1, 2027 for domestic applicants. The part-time Winter 2027 domestic window closes November 1, 2026. Confirm the selected intake and portal checklist before submitting.
