Waterloo Software Engineering supplementary forms

What to prepare
- 1Use the Engineering AIF to give concise examples of interests, community contributions, reflection, goals, and activities outside class.
- 2In the software form, describe a programming course or self-study project you actually completed and what you built or changed.
- 3Give a concrete debugging or testing example that shows how you investigated an open problem and learned a new tool or language.
How to approach the writing
- Separate the broad AIF story from technical evidence so the extra form adds information rather than repeating it.
- Keep project claims verifiable and explain your own contribution when the work involved a team.
Before you submit
Waterloo lists February 1, 2027 for Engineering documents. The AIF can be submitted only once; inspect every required item on your personalized portal checklist before final submission.
