UNB Applied Arts letter of intent and portfolio
UNB's Applied Arts degree combines study at UNB and the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Applicants upload one portfolio file with a 250-word letter on their interest in art, craft, and design and how the program fits their career goals, an itemized image list, and at least 10 images of original work. UNB makes the final admission decision after portfolio review.

What to prepare
- 1Name the craft or design work that has held your attention and explain a choice you made while creating it.
- 2Connect your intended career direction to the program's combination of university study and studio practice at NBCCD.
- 3Keep the letter within 250 words; give each portfolio image its title, date, and materials in the separate image list.
How to approach the writing
- Select at least 10 clear images of your own recent work, including details or stages only where they help the reviewer understand the work.
- Follow UNB's one-file upload instructions and indicate which institution you want to attend first when applying.
