UBC Vancouver Nursing supplemental application
UBC Vancouver's later-entry Bachelor of Science in Nursing has three application steps: apply to UBC, complete the School of Nursing's supplemental application in the Applicant Service Centre, and take Casper. The school assesses the supplement alongside academic standing and Casper, but its public instructions do not publish the form's questions or writing limits.

What to prepare
- 1Wait for the supplemental form in the Applicant Service Centre before drafting to a question or word limit; UBC says it becomes available a few days after the initial application.
- 2Where the form asks about motivation, use a concrete experience to explain why nursing interests you and what you learned about the work, rather than making a generic claim about helping people.
- 3If asked about skills or clinical aptitude, describe your own actions and judgment accurately; do not present observation, volunteering, or unrelated care work as licensed clinical practice.

- Read each live form field before writing and keep the response focused on that field; the school's public page does not provide a reusable essay prompt.
Before you submit
For 2027 entry, UBC lists December 4, 2026 for the initial application and January 15, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. PST for the Nursing supplement. It lists January 17 as the last Casper sitting. Confirm the live portal checklist and Casper schedule, especially if applying to both Vancouver and Okanagan, which require separate supplements.
