UBC Sauder BCom Personal Profile
UBC Sauder's Bachelor of Commerce uses the UBC Personal Profile plus two questions specific to Commerce: how the applicant handled an unfamiliar problem, and how they contribute to their community and hope to use Sauder. The BCom process also includes a separate video interview. These additions make its writing route different from UBC's general profile.

What to prepare
- 1For the unfamiliar situation answer, name the problem, your actual response, the outcome, and what you learned; leave room for reflection rather than only describing the event.
- 2For the community answer, show a contribution you already make and explain how a Sauder education could extend that work without promising an invented future achievement.
- 3Use the general UBC profile to reveal different experiences and values, and respect each question's character limit in the application portal.
How to approach the writing
- Draft the two Commerce answers separately from the general profile so each one addresses its own published question.
- Prepare for the separate BCom video interview as a live response task; do not treat it as another written essay.
