TMU undergraduate supplementary form
TMU encourages applicants other than current Ontario secondary school students and special-student applicants to submit a supplementary form after applying. It lets applicants discuss academic history and why they chose each program. Applicants changing TMU programs are specifically instructed to submit it with their TMU application. It is separate from any program-specific portfolio or audition.

What to prepare
- 1Explain your interest in the particular program using prior study, work or projects that led to that choice.
- 2Give useful context for your academic history where the live form invites it, without repeating every transcript line.
- 3If applying to multiple programs, tailor each available form to its program; TMU permits a form for each choice.
How to approach the writing
- Check whether your applicant category can access the form before drafting: current Ontario secondary school students and special-student applicants cannot use it.
- After receiving your TMU student number, activate your online identity and find the form in the ChooseTMU Applicant Portal. Check the live fields for limits and required sections.
Before you submit
TMU's public instructions do not state fixed essay prompts, word limits or a universal deadline for this form. Follow your applicant portal and chosen program's current requirements; Grade 12 applicants elsewhere in Canada, except Quebec, are also asked to complete the self-reported grades section.
