StFX applied forensic psychology statement of interest
StFX's four-year, direct-entry Applied Forensic Psychology program requires its own supplemental form with a statement of interest. The statement connects interests in the science and practice of psychology to academic or career goals, relevant experiences, and evidence of skills. Without the completed form, the application is instead considered for a Bachelor with Major if eligible.

What to prepare
- 1Name a specific question or area of forensic psychology that interests you and explain how you came to it.
- 2Connect education, paid work, volunteering, or another relevant activity to a near-term learning goal and a longer-term direction.
- 3Demonstrate a useful skill through a brief example rather than calling yourself skilled without evidence.
How to approach the writing
- Prioritize the link between your experience and this program; a broad psychology essay will not answer why Applied Forensic Psychology is the right route.
- Stay within the 250-word cap and use the form's separate experience section for fuller activity details.
Before you submit
Submit the Applied Forensic Psychology Supplemental Form with the StFX application and confirm the live intake deadline. The university says an incomplete supplemental form redirects consideration to a Bachelor with Major, subject to eligibility.
