Sheridan 3D Animation project descriptions
Sheridan's 3D Animation and Emerging Technologies degree asks for a portfolio of eight to ten creative or technical works and a separate PDF of short project descriptions. Each description identifies the work, completion year, media or tools, and goal or concept. Group projects must identify the applicant's own contribution. This writing explains actual portfolio work; it is not a general personal essay.

Academic integrity
Sheridan's sample instructions prohibit AI or machine-learning tools for written and visual portfolio work unless this program expressly permits them for a particular exercise. Create the project descriptions yourself.
What to prepare
- 1Name each work and its year, then explain the problem, idea, or experience you tried to create.
- 2Identify the tools and decisions that mattered; for a group project, separate your own contribution from the team's work.
- 3Use a short process or challenge detail to show how the final piece developed, instead of writing promotional captions.
How to approach the writing
- Prepare eight to ten original portfolio pieces and process evidence for at least two before writing the descriptions.
- Combine the descriptions into one PDF and check that each corresponds to the right portfolio piece.

The public 2026–27 sheet is a sample and its submission timing belongs to a past intake. Sheridan sends the complete current instructions to applicants. Verify the next cycle and submit your own work; the sample prohibits AI tools for written and visual portfolio components unless a program expressly permits them.
