OCAD U Digital Futures statement of intent
Digital Futures uses a portfolio route designed for applicants whose strengths may be visual, non-visual, or both. Its statement of intent is required alongside that portfolio; OCAD U says it will not review a portfolio without the statement.

What to prepare
- 1Explain the creative or technical questions that draw you to Digital Futures and connect them to work included in your portfolio.
- 2If your work is non-visual, describe what a project, piece of writing, program, or other artifact demonstrates about your curiosity.
- 3Show how your mix of skills would develop in a program spanning art, design, science, and technology.
How to approach the writing
- Make the statement a guide to the evidence you submitted, rather than a list of unrelated interests.
- Stay near the published approximate 300-word length and do not assume the standard OCAD portfolio rules replace the Digital Futures instructions.
