Mount Royal readmission letter of intent
Mount Royal's Early Support team requires a letter of intent from students returning after a required withdrawal who have already applied, accepted an offer, and have a registration hold. The letter explains the earlier withdrawal, development during time away, and specific strategies for succeeding on return. This is a readmission support step, not an essay for first-time applicants.

Academic integrity
Mount Royal prohibits generative AI for the readmission letter. Write the reflection yourself from your own experiences and plan; the university may ask for a rewrite or meeting if it believes AI wrote the letter.

How to approach the writing
- Address the letter to Early Support and keep it within the published one- to two-page range.
- Complete the application and offer steps first; Early Support reviews the letter before requesting removal of a registration hold or arranging a support appointment.
Before you submit
MRU says students can reapply before 12 months have passed since withdrawal, but must wait 12 months before returning to study. Email the letter to Early Support only when the readmission conditions apply. The university prohibits generative AI use for this letter.
