McGill Global Engineering personal statement
McGill requires a personal statement for its joint Bachelor of Global Engineering with CentraleSupélec. This is a program-specific document, not a general requirement for all McGill undergraduate applicants.

English personal statement, at most two single-spaced pages
What to prepare
- 1Explain why the joint Global Engineering program fits the engineering questions you want to pursue.
- 2Use an academic or project example to show how you have prepared for its technical and cross-cultural work.
- 3Describe what you hope to learn across the two institutions and how it connects to your longer-term goals.
How to approach the writing
- Keep the statement in your own voice and organize it around motivation, preparation, and fit.
- Stay within the two-page single-spaced limit rather than assuming a word count that McGill has not published.
Before you submit
Upload the statement in the McGill Applicant Portal after applying. McGill recommends submitting it within one week; check the live checklist and any interview invitation.
