KPU Psychology Honours research description
KPU Psychology Honours asks continuing students for a description of proposed research, not a general personal essay. Before applying, students must identify a preferred and an alternate thesis supervisor, discuss the project with the preferred supervisor, and receive that person's agreement to supervise if admitted.

Approximately 500-word proposed research description
What to prepare
- 1State the psychological question you want to investigate and why it matters within your chosen area.
- 2Describe a feasible approach at a level appropriate for an undergraduate thesis; cite relevant work if useful.
- 3Keep the proposal aligned with the conversation and supervision agreement you have already had with your preferred supervisor.
How to approach the writing
- Use approximately 500 words for the research description; the application separately asks for a reference who can speak to your capabilities.
- Discuss the project with your preferred supervisor before completing the form, as KPU requires.
Before you submit
The Fall 2027 Psychology Honours application deadline is May 1, 2027. Graduates and students who have already applied to graduate are ineligible; verify your continuing-student status and the live form before applying.
