KPU Criminology Honours statement of interest
KPU Criminology students applying to the 2027–28 Honours cohort submit a short statement about their interest in Honours research, proposed topic, and possible methods. The application also asks for an unofficial transcript. This is an upper-year program application after substantial Criminology study, not a first-year university supplement.

What to prepare
- 1Explain why an original Criminology research project suits the questions you want to pursue.
- 2Describe a focused research area and a plausible method, making clear what you would investigate rather than promising a result.
- 3Name a preferred supervisor if you have one; the Honours Committee can help find one when you do not.
How to approach the writing
- Check the published supervisor interests for a genuine research fit before naming someone.
- Use the 250–300 words for the proposed inquiry and method; leave courses and grades to the transcript.
Before you submit
KPU lists three application rounds for the 2027–28 cohort: December 18, 2026; April 30, 2027; and July 3, 2027. Confirm the live form and prerequisites, including the normal 60-credit, 3.5-CGPA, and CRIM 3104 requirements, before applying.
