University College Groningen motivation video
University College Groningen evaluates motivation through a video for its Liberal Arts and Sciences bachelor's program. Applicants introduce themselves, discuss academic interests and aspirations, explain their fit with UCG and Liberal Arts and Sciences, and describe something they are proud of or passionate about.
Writing format
Three to five minute video addressing four mandatory themes
What to prepare
- 1Outline four concise answers before recording so every required theme appears within three to five minutes.
- 2Support academic curiosity with a particular question, project, or subject rather than a list of interests.
- 3Explain why UCG's Liberal Arts and Sciences approach fits your goals, then show a personal commitment or achievement that adds another side of you.
How to approach the writing
- You may answer the four themes in any order and use editing or animation, but you must appear speaking at some point.
- Begin in Studielink, then complete the additional application in Progress if you have a non-Dutch diploma or the Admission Request if you hold the specified Dutch diplomas.
Before you submit
For September 2027, UCG lists January 15 as its early deadline and May 1 as its final deadline. Verify the current video instructions and document portal for your diploma route before submitting.
