Maastricht Psychology selection questionnaire
Maastricht's Psychology bachelor's selection uses an online questionnaire about motivation, interests, study attitude, and core psychology competencies, then an online test using assigned video lectures and literature. The school publishes these assessment areas for 2027–28 but does not publish a universal essay prompt or word limit.

What to prepare
- 1Use genuine examples of how you study, respond to feedback, and investigate psychological questions when the portal asks about study attitude.
- 2Explain the interests that led you to Psychology, connecting them to what you have actually read, observed, or studied.
- 3Read the assigned selection materials before answering questions tied to their concepts; do not invent answers to unpublished portal prompts.
How to approach the writing
- Complete the questionnaire in MyApplication after it becomes available around February 1, 2027; the portal shows the actual questions.
- Treat the online test as a distinct assessment. Maastricht says it cannot be changed or retaken after submission.
Before you submit
Register as a first-year Psychology applicant in Studielink by January 15, 2027, including if you previously started Psychology elsewhere. Complete the selection procedure before March 1, 2027 at 16:59 CET, and follow the live MyApplication instructions for each part.
