Azim Premji postgraduate entrance essays
Azim Premji University's 2027 postgraduate selection has an online application, an assessment route, and an interview. Its National Entrance Test includes different written components by program: one descriptive essay for MA Development and Master of Public Health, two for MA Early Childhood Care and Education, subject-specific essay counts for MA Education, and three short essays for MA Economics or Applied Economics. These are timed assessment answers, not application-form personal statements.

What to prepare
- 1For MA Development or Public Health, practice a clear response to a social or public-health issue using a reasoned claim and relevant evidence.
- 2For MA Education, prepare to reason within the subject area you selected; the published essay count differs across Maths, Social Studies, Science, Language, and ECE.
- 3For Economics routes, practice three concise arguments that use the relevant economic ideas and show your reasoning rather than recalling definitions alone.
How to approach the writing
- Check the assessment route assigned to your program. The university also accepts specified external test scores, and some experienced climate-program applicants may take a direct interview route.
- Use the university's sample papers to understand the assessment format, but answer the live questions presented in your test.

The published 2027 process gives different components for each postgraduate program and does not publish a universal essay prompt or word limit. Verify your program, test route, language option, and current timing in the application instructions.
