About this scholarship
Young women ages 16 to 19 who live within a Zonta district or are citizens of a Zonta country may apply. Applicants must demonstrate active commitment to volunteerism, leadership experience in student government, local government, or similar roles, and knowledge of Zonta International.
Zonta International awards 37 international scholarships of $5,000 each annually. Competition runs through local clubs, districts, and international levels.
Locate a participating Zonta club or district, complete the official application, and submit documentation of leadership and civic involvement by the local deadline.

- Official application in English
- Verification of current enrollment from a school/institute official or an employer letter
- Two confidential recommendations from unrelated adults
- Required personal-goals, leadership, volunteerism, international-awareness, and women's-status essays
- Eligibility: women aged 16-19 on 1 April, living in a Zonta district/region or citizens of a Zonta country
- Application must start with and be submitted through a local Zonta club (contact club for deadline)
- Official application must be typed in English; non-English documents must be translated
- Verification of current enrollment by school/institute official, OR letter from employer stating employment
- Two confidential recommendation letters from adults not related to the applicant (sent directly to Zonta, not via applicant)
- Applicant's signature required
- Optional interview at the sponsoring club's discretion
- Applicant must complete the essays without assistance (other than English translation)
- Application must begin with and be submitted through a local Zonta club.
- Non-English documents must be translated.
- An interview may be required at the sponsoring club's discretion.
