About this scholarship

Women residing in Yellowstone, Big Horn, Carbon, Custer, Musselshell, Rosebud, Stillwater, or Treasure counties in Montana may apply. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, hold at least a 3.0 GPA (or Montana HiSET equivalent), and must not have previously received this scholarship. YWCA Billings board members, staff, and their families are ineligible.

Two non-renewable awards of $5,000 each support students who align with the YWCA mission of empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Submit a completed online application with two recommendation letters (non-family), essays on your dedication to the YWCA mission, and an academic transcript including ACT or SAT scores.

  • Semi-finalists must complete an in-person interview with the scholarship committee
