About this scholarship
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or refugees who will or have expired out of extended society care in Ontario (not publicly adopted), with at least one year in extended society care in the Golden Horseshoe area, may apply for this bursary toward tuition and compulsory fees. Applicants must self-identify through OSAP, provide supporting documentation, apply for non-repayable OSAP grant funding each academic year, and demonstrate financial need (eligibility for a minimum of $1.00 of grant funding on the OSAP assessment). Students already receiving the YESC bursary should not submit another application.
The bursary amount varies and is renewable for up to four years subject to continued eligibility. Incoming undergraduates apply through AwardSpring; graduate students should contact the Access Office.
