About this scholarship
Pediatric brain tumour survivors living in Canada who were diagnosed before age 25, are ages 16 to 30, and are enrolled full-time (or meet their school's full-time disability standard) at a publicly funded Canadian college or university may apply. Final-year high school or CEGEP students planning full-time undergraduate study the following year are also eligible. All tumour types are considered; a patient medical attestation form is required.
One-time awards of up to $5,000 support tuition and related education costs. Prior Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada award recipients are not eligible to reapply; unsuccessful applicants may reapply while they remain eligible.
Reviewers weigh the impact of diagnosis, treatment, and lifestyle adjustments in light of barriers and supports. The program is offered by Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada to improve post-secondary access for young adult survivors.
