About this scholarship

Up to four domestic students entering a full-time program at the University of Toronto Scarborough Department of Management may receive Young Entrepreneur Scholarship (YES) Entrance Awards. In exceptional circumstances, international students may also be considered. Applicants must complete the Supplementary Application Form and demonstrate ownership of a business (minimum 50%) or a viable business plan approved by the New Venture Program and YES scholarship committee.

Award amounts vary depending on the candidate pool. YES Entrance Award recipients may later qualify for YES True Blue In-Course Awards for up to three additional years if they participate in the YES Entrepreneurial Retreat, enroll in the New Venture Program, maintain good academic standing, and carry a minimum course load of 4.0 full course equivalents.

The YES program is funded by entrepreneur Joe Gagliese to support student founders who need financial help to pursue both academics and a venture.
