York Science Scholars Award (YSSA)

Incoming first-year students (Canadian and international) admitted to York University's Faculty of Science for full-time study. Competitive applications typically have a minimum average of A- (80%) or higher.

Up to 10 awards of $10,000 each: $5,000 as an entrance scholarship plus $5,000 after a guaranteed 12-week summer research placement following first year. Considered separately from other York or Faculty of Science admissions awards.

Requires two personal statements, a resume, two reference letters, and the online application.
