Work Learn International Undergraduate Research Award

For international undergraduate students at UBC Vancouver (not exchange or visiting) who pay international fees, hold a valid study permit and SIN, and reside in B.C. during a full-time summer research placement. The Work Learn International Undergraduate Research Award subsidizes full-time research (35 paid hours per week for at least 16 weeks under a faculty supervisor). The award subsidy is up to $8,700 for Faculty of Arts and $6,000 for other faculties; supervisors top up pay to at least B.C. minimum wage.

Apply by submitting a faculty research proposal or by applying to posted CareersOnline positions. You may hold only one award per fiscal year and a maximum of three throughout your degree.
