About this scholarship
Survivors of intimate partner abuse in the U.S. who have been physically separated from an abuser for one to ten years and are enrolled in or accepted to accredited college, trade, or certificate programs may apply for Doris Buffett Independence Scholar Grants. You must demonstrate financial need through FAFSA Student Aid Index and adjusted gross income.
Awards range from $500 to $2,000 per semester based on enrollment level (master's awards average about $1,000 per semester). Full-time attendance is not required.
