About this scholarship

Laurentian University students enrolled in the third or fourth year of Environmental Earth Science, Earth Sciences, Mining or Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Studies who maintain at least an 80% average, demonstrate financial need, and meet Ontario residency as defined by OSAP may receive the WAMIC Wood Award.

The award provides at least $6,000 toward tuition. A bursary application is required.

The Women's Association of the Mining Industry of Canada (WAMIC) Foundation established the award to encourage students to pursue careers in the geosciences industry.
