About this scholarship

High school seniors in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (Maryland, DC, or Virginia) with a minimum 2.5 GPA may apply. Residency in a community association is not required.

One or more awards of at least $1,000 are granted annually.

Submit a 500- to 700-word essay or a 90-second media presentation on the year's community associations topic, plus an application form, transcript, and one recommendation letter by June 1.

The WMCCAI Essay Contest is judged on essay quality, program detail, and realism. Extra points apply if you submit feedback from a community leader.
