About this scholarship
Undergraduate and graduate students in English language and literature at UBC may qualify, including Canadian and American language and literature. Scholarships from an endowment totalling $47,000 are available; per-recipient amounts vary within the pool.
There is no separate application. The Department of English recommends recipients. For graduate students, the Faculty of Graduate Studies is also consulted.
The fund was endowed through a bequest by Jean Campbell Butler to honour the memory of Dr. G.G. Sedgewick.
