UBC Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering fourth-year mining engineering undergraduates are eligible. Selection considers scholastic standing plus achievement in student government and/or athletics. Scholarships totaling $2,450 are available through the endowment.

Established by William H. and Mathilde MacInnes in memory of their son, William Eugene MacInnes (1912 to 1934), who studied Mining Engineering at UBC and was active in student affairs.
