About this scholarship
Whirly-Girls members in good standing who hold at least a private helicopter pilot certificate may apply for the Jean Tinsley Memorial VERTICON Scholarship (formerly HELI-EXPO). Preference goes to members who have not previously attended VERTICON/HELI-EXPO. Applicants must join Whirly-Girls by the membership deadline stated on the scholarship page.
One recipient receives a VERTICON show pass, professional education access, five nights of shared lodging, an Awards Banquet ticket, and a $600 travel and meal stipend, with total value up to $2,400.
The award commemorates Jean Tinsley and her advocacy for camaraderie and mentorship among female aviators.
