About this scholarship
Residents of Weld County, Colorado, including homeschool graduates, GED earners, and honorably discharged veterans, may apply for tuition assistance toward post-secondary education or workforce certification.
Awards are up to $3,500 per year for institutions in Weld County or up to $2,000 per year for Colorado or bordering-state schools, with a lifetime cap of $14,000 over up to eight semesters. No academic or income requirements apply for first-year applicants.
Complete the Bright Futures application with FAFSA or CASFA and document 12 community service hours. The Weld County Board of Commissioners launched Bright Futures in 2015 to strengthen the local workforce.
