About this scholarship
Ontario college or university students attending full-time who are members of the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and/or the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO), have not received this scholarship previously, and are pursuing education or careers in the water quality field.
Four awards are given each year: one of $2,000 and three of $1,000. One award is reserved for a college student and one for a university student.
Submit a completed application form, two reference forms (one from a current or previous professor and one from an employer in a relevant area), and an essay of up to 500 words on a technical wastewater treatment or water pollution control issue important to protecting water quality in Ontario, linking your field of study and planned career path. Applications are due by October 31.

- Must be attending an Ontario college or university on a full-time basis
- Must be a member of WEF and/or WEAO
- Must not have received the scholarship previously

- Selection based on essay quality (60%) and Reference Forms (20% each)

- Essay must explain how the applicant's field of study and planned career path may help address the issue and cite references.
