About this scholarship

Current New York City public high school seniors, including charter school students but not private or parochial schools, accepted to a five-year NAAB-accredited Bachelor of Architecture program in the United States may apply.

One recipient receives $10,000 per year for up to two years, contingent on completing the first year. Recipients may also receive mentoring from architecture professionals.

Submit a 500-word essay on your interest in architecture, a digital portfolio of three to four visual art or design pieces, transcripts, a college acceptance letter, and two signed recommendation letters electronically through the Center for Architecture.

  • Two signed letters of recommendation on letterhead (one from a high school teacher; one from an employer, architecture professional, or other non-relative adult)
  • All materials submitted electronically as PDFs via the online application form
  • Final graduation transcript is required to accept the award.
  • Materials must be submitted electronically through the Center for Architecture application.
