W. H. MacInnes Memorial Scholarship

Open to undergraduate students in the UBC Vancouver Faculty of Arts.

Scholarship amounts vary from an endowment established by William H. MacInnes (1879-1975), an honorary UBC alumnus who supported nine student awards during his lifetime. No separate application; awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Arts.

MacInnes graduated from Queen's University in 1902 and served as Civil Service Commissioner of BC and Official Administrator for the County of Vancouver before leading Western Soap Co. Ltd. He and his wife Mathilde often hosted award winners at an annual tea.
