Virginia W. Smith Scholarship

Long Island, New York, high school seniors in twelfth grade with satisfactory grades who plan to study horticulture, conservation, environmental science, sustainability, or related green initiatives at the college level may apply.

The North Country Garden Club awards one $2,500 scholarship in memory of member Virginia W. Smith. The award supports tuition and educational expenses.

Submit an application, transcript, essay, and recommendation letters. A personal interview is required and is conducted by Zoom. Since its inception, more than thirty Virginia W. Smith Scholarships have been awarded to deserving seniors.
