About this scholarship
Need-based state grants for Virginia resident undergraduates enrolled at least half-time at a Virginia public college or university, and for graduate students at participating Virginia public institutions. Undergraduates must meet Virginia residency or tuition equity provisions, be in an approved degree, certificate, or diploma program, comply with Selective Service requirements where applicable, and show financial need as determined by the institution. Graduate students must enroll full-time in an approved graduate program and meet institution-set criteria.
Awards vary by institution. For undergraduates, awards may not exceed tuition and required fees and are proportional to need. Funds may also support graduate grants or assistantships (in-state and out-of-state). Awards are renewable annually based on funding and academic progress.
Complete the FAFSA or VASA by your institution's financial aid deadline. There is no separate application; contact your campus financial aid office to confirm participation.
