About this scholarship
Registered nurses and nurse practitioners employed in Newfoundland and Labrador who are registrants in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (and thus members of the NL Registered Nurses' Education & Research Trust) may apply for funding that strengthens primary health care knowledge and practice. Eligible uses include full- or part-time PHC-related education, presenting PHC research at a conference, or a non-credit PHC-focused program.
One award is given per year, valued at $500 or $1,000 based on confirmed expenses. Application deadlines are April 15 (spring) and October 15 (fall). Use the Violet Ruelokke Primary Health Care Award application form (or the academic form if enrolled in a BN, MN, or PhD program in the spring competition).
The award supports nursing leadership capacity in primary health care.
