About this scholarship
Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled full time at an accredited Canadian college or university may apply. Undergraduate applicants must be entering second, third, or fourth year; graduate students are also eligible. Applicants need a GPA of 3.5 or higher and should show leadership, community service, and passion for their field. Preference goes to those whose studies engage Italian heritage and culture. Anyone who helps further Villa Charities' mission is encouraged to apply, regardless of heritage.
Ten awards are available: five undergraduate awards of $2,000 and five graduate awards of $5,000, for tuition only. The application includes short written answers on leadership, cultural identity, and service, plus an essay on how personal values align with Villa Charities' mission to enrich lives through experiences and services that honour Italian culture and heritage.
