Vicky Oveson Memorial Award

For Canadian citizens or permanent residents who identify as women, are enrolled in graduate-level music study at a Canadian post-secondary institution, and demonstrate leadership and commitment to the music community. Preference is for students in jazz or world music.

One award of at least $1,500 is applied directly to tuition.

Established in memory of pianist and vocalist Vicky Oveson, who held degrees in theory and composition and musicology with a focus on Afro-Cuban music. Apply through the Calgary Foundation.
