About this scholarship
Female U.S. citizens who have been Virginia residents for at least two years, are registered to vote in Virginia, and are attending or committed to attend a Virginia college or university may apply for the VFRW Political Studies Scholarship. Applicants need a minimum 2.5 GPA and must not be in their final year of study.
Scholarships of $2,000 go to Republican women who promote Republican principles on campus and in daily life. Preference goes to majors related to political science, government, law, public policy, economics, or similar fields.
Submit the application with essays, a one-page resume, and a non-family recommendation. Winners attend the VFRW convention lunch in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

- Must be a female with US citizenship
- Must be registered to vote in the Commonwealth of Virginia (if 18 years old or older)
- Must either be currently attending or committed to attend (in the Fall of 2026) any college or university in the Commonwealth of Virginia; applicant must not be in their last year of study
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must submit two (2) letters of recommendation: one from a non-family member addressing character/moral standing, and one recognizing involvement in political activities
- Must submit a 1-page (only) resume
- Handwritten signature required on the application
- Completed application must be received by midnight Wednesday, April 15, 2026 (postmarks do not count)
- Preference given to students majoring in a field related to Political Science
- Winners attend the VFRW convention lunch in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
