About this scholarship
Full-time undergraduate students enrolled at Virginia colleges or universities who are AWWA members with a career goal in the water industry may apply for the VA AWWA Ray A. Jackson Undergraduate Student Scholarship of $3,500.
Submit the scholarship application, resume, transcript or current schedule, and a maximum 500-word essay on a water-related topic. Preference goes to applicants involved in VA AWWA activities. One award is given annually based on merit.

- Membership in the American Water Works Association (AWWA)
- Eligibility: full-time undergraduate AWWA member attending school in Virginia in the Fall 2026 semester with a career goal of serving in the water industry
- One annual award is selected based on merit.
- Extra essay consideration is given to drinking-water topics.
