About this scholarship

High school seniors of East, South, Southeast Asian, or Pacific Island heritage who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply for USPAACC college scholarships of up to $5,000. Applicants need a 3.3 or higher GPA, plan to enroll full-time at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution, and should show leadership, community service, and financial need.

Up to 20 scholarships are awarded annually, supported by major corporations and Asian American businesses. Recipients participate in scholarship activities, write a thank-you letter to their sponsor, and update USPAACC on their college progress at least once per year.

  • Applicants respond to TWO (2) of the three essay questions (each uploaded as an MS Word or PDF file). To be considered for the Denny's Scholarship, Question 3 must be one of the two responses.
  • High school transcript (official or unofficial copy)
  • Copy of most recent household tax return, signed/dated by taxpayer, showing applicant name and household income (SSNs redacted)
  • Two letters of recommendation: one from high school, one from a community service organization; each on letterhead and signed
  • Post-secondary information: institutions applied to, intended major, estimated costs and financial aid received
  • One 2x2 photo of the applicant (JPG or PNG)
