USDA 1890 National Scholars Program

U.S. citizens with a 3.0 or higher GPA may apply for full-tuition USDA/1890 National Scholars Program awards to pursue bachelor's degrees in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or related fields at one of 19 historically Black 1890 land-grant universities. Open to high school seniors entering college and current college sophomores and juniors.

Scholars receive full tuition, fees, books, room, and board for up to four years, plus USDA summer internships with potential conversion to permanent federal employment after graduation. Each year of assistance requires at least one year of USDA service after graduation.
